Quantifiable Data Proves New Horizons Training Has a Positive Return on Investment


BUFFALO, New York. August 2, 2005 - New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, the world's largest independent IT training company, announced that millions of data points prove the value that a New Horizons training experience has on their clients workforce performance and effectiveness.

New Horizons has measured the impact of training with nearly 2.1 million learners since 2001. Over 200,000 on-the-job evaluations have been conducted by New Horizons as well to fully understand how training impacts their clients business after students leave the classroom.

As shown by recent 2005 data, New Horizons training showcases the power of expert instruction as indicated by over 91% of learners stating they were significantly satisfied with instructor performance in the classroom. In addition, nearly 80% of these learners felt they had learned significant new knowledge and skills from the New Horizons training they received. After training, over 75% significantly agreed that the New Horizons training experience was a worthwhile investment of their time and their employer's costs.

Learners realized performance improvements within only 2 months after returning to their jobs.. The metrics quantified the value of New Horizons training in terms of impact, results, and financial ROI. Highlights included the following:

56% of participants cited significant improvements in on-the-job productivity
51% of participants cited significant improvements in workplace quality
70% of participants used the training within the first eight weeks on the job

An analysis of over 100,000 evaluations received in 2005 illustrate New Horizons training yielded a 4 to 1 benefit to cost ratio in terms of predicted, improved human capital performance with training. "We are delighted with the results, we now have the proof that our customers achieve a significant return in their training investment by using our products and services," remarked Tom Bresnan, Chief Executive Officer of New Horizons. Multiple variables impact on-the-job performance, not just training, but the data supports the fact that a single, isolated variable, New Horizons training, accounts for 50% of a learners improved performance when back on the job.

Neil Halloran, the Director of Fresh University, 1-800 Flowers corporate training division has utilized New Horizons as a strategic partner for over eight years. Per Halloran, "We did an analysis and proved that we saved 15,000 hours of time across our company in improved productivity and that equates to $276,000 per year.
